The organisers forcast at least 14,000 visitors with an opportunity to see over 1,000 exhibitors - more than 20% above the 756 exhibitors at the 2005 show, for the CPhI China's sixth edition.
CMPi is also actively expanding the scope of the China event, to cater for closely-linked contract services and technology interests.
The 2006 show will be notable for the first staging in China of P-MEC (the Pharmaceutical Machinery and Equipment Convention), which will debut alongside the International Contract Services Expo (ICSE). ICSE China was held for the first time with CPhI China last year.
An event feature will be 10 hours of seminar sessions spread over the three show days. Topics covered in seven separate sessions will include EDQM Certification, validation and the GMP requirements of ICH Q7A.
Presenting companies will include Novasep Asia, Rhodia Hong Kong and Tosoh Corporation.
"ICSE and - this year - P-MEC associated events makes CPhI an even more comprehensive show for the sector, with added value for exhibitors and visitors alike," said CMPi,
Chemical & Pharma Ingredients Group Exhibitions Director Kate Chambers, in an official release.
CPhI China 2006 is scheduled to be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC ) from Tuesday 27 - Thursday 29, June.
